After School Snacks

Very Hungry After School?

Here are some after school snack ideas:

Things made with peanut butter

(Of course I had to include this one
 being a Southern Mom.)

Graham Crackers
Spread with peanut butter & sliced bananas or mini chocolate chips on top. It's a favorite in our house.

(Can also substitute peanut butter for
cream cheese in this recipe)

Other Things Not Made with Peanut Butter

(My kids love the single serving size.)

Cindi's Helpful Hints:
  •  I usually add the kids favorite whole grain cereal like Cheerios or Chex to our snack mix. I also add pretzels which is always a favorite too.
  • Make your own snack mix in a gallon sized plastic bag with a slide closure for storage in the pantry. Dole out to individual sandwich bags for an on-the-go snack.

I don't have time!  (On-The-Go Snacks)

Veggie or Fruit Snack Trays:
A lot of produce departments in grocery stores provide pre-made veggie or fruit snack trays. My kids love these especially the ones that are single serving size.
